Scott is currently Director of Data and Digital Innovation and Head of Profession for Statistics in Public Health Scotland. Data and analytics are at the heart of Public Health Scotland’s work. Public Health Scotland was formed on 1 April 2020 and has spent its first 2 years at the heart of Scotland’s response to the COVID pandemic. Scott’s career spans over 25 years in the public sector in Scotland, working in a variety of statistical and leadership roles since he graduated from University of Edinburgh in 1994.  He’s also known for having an amazing taste in music!  He turns 50 in 2022 and achieved one of the things on his bucket list a few months ago when he met his pop idols Steps – Tragedy!
