Ron Culley is the Chief Executive of Quarriers, a national third sector provider of health and social care services. Quarriers operates across 19 local authorities, employs around 1600 members of staff, and provides support to thousands of people within a diverse portfolio of services that includes adult supported living, youth homelessness, children’s services and the Scottish Epilepsy Centre. Prior to joining Quarriers, Ron was the Chief Officer of the Health and Social Care Partnership in the Western Isles for five years, where he helped to establish the local Integration Joint Board and focused on improving integrated services across the islands. In the earlier part of his career, Ron worked for COSLA, leading its work on health and social care, where he worked closely with colleagues from the Scottish Government to frame legislation around the integration of health and social care and self-directed support. He has a PhD in politics from the University of Glasgow and lives in East Renfrewshire with his family.
