Manager, Perthshire Women’s Aid
Community Perspective - Digital Events

Louise Craig is an experienced Executive Leader in all things Operations, however just as importantly is a sister, wife, mother, friend and daughter.  Louise currently leads a team of 20 at Perthshire Women’s Aid, having progressed her career with Remploy where she led an Operations team consisting of 300+ personnel  across 45 Employment Hubs nationally.

Louise wanted to be closer to home after the arrival of daughter and made the move to Perthshire Women’s Aid 15 months ago, however has adopted all of the same leadership principles which she learned in her previous role and has found that the shape, size or existing culture within a team has no bearing on the overall success a group can achieve.

Louise likes to treat her team and colleagues as individuals and is respectful to each person’s character and strengths.  As a modern leader Louise uses the principles of fairness, openness, trust, transparency, aspiration and collaboration every day.  Trying to demonstrate model behaviour whilst presenting the human and empathetic element in her approach and leading from the front with tasks and projects.

Louise’s biggest motivator is when her team achieve their individual or group goals and takes her role in enabling them to do so very seriously.
