I have worked for the Scottish Government for over 4 years and have mainly worked in policy. I joined the organisation in 2017 as a communications assistant, primarily supporting communications officers with high-profile reactive work, including writing for SG news blogs, the First Minister’s website, assisting with the publication of news releases on the SG news site, producing media evaluations, creating info graphics, assisting journalists with their media enquiries and training new communications officers to use SG Comms systems.
I then moved out of Communications to Culture Policy in 2018 and worked as a Cultural Engagement Support Officer for 9 months. In that role I provided support at the Edinburgh International Culture Summit and assisted with the delivery of the WW100 programme.
I ventured into Health Policy in 2019 and supported with the publication, design and policy management of two Frameworks. I currently work within the Leadership and Talent Management Team within Health Workforce, leading on the policy and parliamentary workstream and providing interim support to our Governance lead. I’m also the team’s wellbeing champion.
